Alrighty, well, here are some pictures. Just so you all know, it is my lovely sister Tracy to keeps making sure this thing gets updated, I can be pretty negligent till she says to me "don't you think you should update your blog again?". And so then i start to feel guilty and then i update it again...thanks Tracy!

So, the last few weeks have been pretty busy, had a friend visiting from Japan (hi Nana!) and Martine in all her fabulousness totally played tour guide extraordinaire and took us around to see all sorts of coolnesses! Thanks Martine! So, here are a few of the sights and stories...

We saw this guy on Phillip Island, if any of you come out here I recommend it, also where we saw the penguins and tried surfing!

Koala's have to be the laziest animals alive, but they are so cute! They sleep about 20 hours a day, how nice must that be! So, needless to say as we were watching and oggling them they were just sleeping...they sleep almost as well as i do! Signs around say they are not lazy, they are just conserving energy... that's what they say anyhow...

These are the Phillip Island penguins, how cute are they! It was moulting season, so the fat guy lying down was getting some new feathers. They moult once a year, but when they are moulting they loose thier waterproofness so they can't eat, so before they moult they double thier body weight cause they won't be able to swim and hunt for like 3 weeks. They are the tiniest penguins in the world, only about 30 centimetres tall.

Surfing (or attempting to) was great fun although I don't think I'm much good at it. I just couldn't convince myself that i really did want to try and stand up on a board while it was moving. Although the same weekend my sister tried curling and fell and got slightly damaged. I decided that falling in water is so much friendlier than falling on ice, so there are some good things about it forsure!

The weekend after our Phillip Island adventures we decide to go on a mini road trip to The Great Ocean Road...and we saw the 12 Apostles (among other things). They are large rocks that were formed because the water washed away rock around them, so they used to be part of the coastline. Recently, some of them have fallen down. They say that the water washes away 2 cm a year. Anyhow, there is a picture of Martine and I with some of the Apostles in the background.

This a a picture of the bush, also along The Great Ocean Rd, if you look really hard you can see ocean!

One of the reasons The Great Ocean Road is so stunning is cause while you are driving along all of a sudden you'll go round a bend and there is this great little beach or bay or perfect spot to camp out. The water was the most beautiful colour, and so clear! I can't wait to go back there and spend a little more time...

Apparently, a few years back, some tourists were out on a rock something like this one which was a bridge shape when it collapsed. Luckily, they weren't injured, but, they did get stranded and had to be rescued by helicopters! That so would have made the best story!

Anyhow, thats all for now folks...have a good one!
