On the road...

Having my parents out here visiting has been an adventure in more ways than one! I few times I have been about ready to leave them and continue my travels solo, but it has definately been wonderful having them here all the same. We started in Melbourne and then flew to Cairns. From Cairns we have been working on driving to Brisbaine, currently we are in the Whitsunday Islands. Cairns was so much fun! We spent a day on the Great Barrier Reef, which was great for me...I've always wanted to go diving there (hopefully will squeeze another day of that in too!) and went skydiving! Skydiving was brilliant! My dad also loved it...mom stayed home and worried lots for us (especially my father, if she had anything to say about it he wouldn't have been going)! But, we had a great time...i'll post some pictures of that later. We are currently staying on Long Island and will be here until Friday when we head off again.

The driving itself is quite boring, mostly just sugarcane fields which really are not all that nice or interesting to look at. Its a bit of a longer drive than mom had originally anticipated...i had tried to warn her before when we were deciding what to do but she didn't believe me...i'm trying very hard not to say "i told you so"! That being said, it really isn't bad so far and I'm looking forward to some of the stops further on along the way!

Almost done...

I can't believe it, in so many ways the past year seems to have taken forever to go by. It seems as if I have been living here, working at the cinema and studying this education degree forever...and started just yesterday in someways too. Either way, the crazy part is that I am now almost done, I had my last class today...3.5 more assignments left to do in the next week and a half and then that is it. The big question now is, what next? and if only I knew...

The email

So, a few days ago i get an email...from my dad...he remarks that he has been looking up information about Cairns and noticed that we can go skydiving, and asks if i am up for it? Silly question, of course I am! More importantly, is he up for it I responded. Apparently, he says he is...so, currently the plan is to go skydiving! With my dad! Who'd have thunk it!
