Its coming on christmas
Theyre cutting down trees
Theyre putting up reindeer
And singing songs of joy and peace
Oh I wish I had a river
I could skate away on
But it dont snow here
It stays pretty green
Im going to make a lot of money
Then i'm going to quit this crazy scene

This song has been playing in my head for about the last week or two. I have always loved Joni Mitchell anyhow and although I haven't listened to her songs in a while, I guess this one just suits right now...a theme song of sorts I guess.
It's almost Christmas, but I would guess that you know that already. I didn't really grasp this till the other day, Christmas is such a funny thing. For most of the year it seems so far away, and then all of a sudden, it is right there in front of you.
The other evening I made a gingerbread house with Uta (my flatmate) it is looking very charming. I'm kinda surprised the icing hasn't melted...it's actually holding up very well...it's been pretty hot here the past few days, although at least there is a nice breeze today.
As much as I do love the sun, there is something about a white Christmas and staying inside where it is warm that I just think fits nicely with Christmas. But, I might be kinda biased on that....
