The Perfect Night

Tuesday, April 18, 2006
We set off right on time. Almost too perfectly on time. The train arrived just as we got to th station and we were on our way. On the train, dinner plans were made. Votes were for a noodle box of sorts...something fast and good. Weren't sure on a place, but, we figured we would get off the train and walk and find something. So we started wandering. Ajisen Ramen, said the sign with a little girl in pigtails and a cute red dress. Perfect! That would do...after a feed on some excellent ramen we made our way to our next destination, the comedy festival to see Dimitri Martin, someone so uncool he was definately cool. Got the tickets, got in line, got some seats and some beer. Had some good laughs and were on our way again. Where too now? We all looked at each other...we could all see the sparkle in each others eyes...yup we were all thinking the same thing, no words were needed...we had to go to Karaoke! It was happening! So, off we went...The room was a little sketchy, kinda hole in the wallish and slightly big for 3. The machine was ok. The songs were a little old and missing some favs...hello Cyberdam old friend...but also included some favs. 2 hours of rocking the mike, several beers and a couple of great friends...all equaled out to the perfect night.

New job training...yay...or not so much really. Sitting and chatting with all the other trainees...talking about life, what we do, and so on. Suddenly I realize, it's almost my bday yet again, and well, somehow, i think i am the oldest in the group. Not that any of them knew, maybe...lucky for me I look young, so hopefully I blend in...hopefully.

Chaos!

Good day happy blog readers!
The last few weeks, my life has been reduced to chaos...insanity of sorts. I started teaching rounds for uni. It is good fun, i'm starting to settle in now and am almost feeling like "a real teacher"...whatever that may mean! Teaching year 11 psychology and sociology is kinda cool. I'm at a senior campus, so there are only year 11 and 12 kids and it is pretty relaxed...the teachers and kids use first names and there is a nice level of mutual respect. As much as I do enjoy it, I can't wait to get back to being a student again... Between teaching all day and planning lesons at night and working, I have had pretty much no time off! Anyhow, time for coffee yay! See ya's!
